My blogshop sales recorded an all-time low since 2008. From the days were I could register $1000 profits, my yearly profit last year was just shy of $1.6k. The contrast is startling. The main difference now is choices. The number of plus-size shops are mushrooming like crazy, and the level of competitions and styles available are immense. Naturally the no. of online shoppers have increased too, but not at the speed of the vendors. Some have closed down in the face of evolving times, and I too wondered if I should follow suit. Even, my parents have noticed the drop in packages that I send out, the amt of time in between each bulk of packages which I send out. Of course, my survival is not dependable on the blogshop though the cash had helped bring me on overseas vacations, an indulgence of recent years.
I thought about it and concluded that the blogshop will not die for now. It's been a joyride over the years, a hobby which has given me extra allowance, and allowed me countless hours of online shopping and browsing. Though I meet the occasional troublemaker, majority are nice, even behind the mask of anonymity. $1.5k is still good money to splurge on wants. However given the state of things, the returns must conmensurate the amt of effort which put in. And right now, it's much lesser than in the past. Which is just as well, considering that I know have a love life to look into. :)
